Wellways is one of Australia's largest mental health, wellbeing and carer service providers. The organisation aims to create an inclusive community where everyone can imagine and achieve their hopes and potential. It connects people, strengthens families and transforms communities for individuals of all ages experiencing disabilities or challenges to their social and emotional wellbeing. Wellways offers an extensive range of individually tailored services, including mental health and wellbeing support; consumer-directed services for people who have NDIS, iCare or other insurance packages; suicide prevention and recovery support; family and carer services; residential support; youth services; and housing and homelessness support, among several others. It also offers a free mental health helpline. Its team of wellbeing workers, clinical consultants, support workers, peer workers and counsellors are dedicated to ensuring all the people the organisation serves have opportunities to fully participate in the community. It also seeks positive change in laws, policies, social norms and behaviours through policy and advocacy, and partners with clinicians, GPs, hospitals, community health organisations, alcohol and other drug support organisations, and government to achieve its aims.
