Australian Men's Shed Association
The Men's Shed aims to address men's health and wellbeing by helping them to feel valued and productive in their community. The not-for-profit organisation is accessible to all men and provides a safe and friendly environment where men are able to work on meaningful projects at their own pace, in their own time, and in the company of other men.Not all Men's Sheds are the same, and each shed conducts its own services. This may include furniture making and restoration, creating equipment for local schools or charities, arts and crafts, cooking and digital literacy. The Men's Shed also runs an informative blog and podcast.The modern Men's Shed is an updated version of the shed in the backyard that has long been a part of Australian culture. The organisation operates across Australia and internationally.
