Take a break away when it’s needed most
Getting away from daily challenges and spending quality time with loved ones is a great way to relax and recharge. If you're affected by cancer and the financial strain that often comes with it, it can be difficult to afford a holiday at a time when it's needed most. We can help.
Cancer Council Victoria's Holiday Break Program can provide you with a one-off short getaway, at no cost.
This program can provide:
- quality time with loved ones, creating lasting memories
- a break from hospital visits and cancer treatment
- rest and relaxation
- the reassurance that, if the need was to arise, you won't be too far away from hospital.
Cancer Council Victoria matches eligible patients and their families with available, donated accommodation. All properties are within Victoria to minimise travel time.
Holiday breaks are usually for 2-4 nights. Various type of properties are available in different locations. Whether you're after wheelchair access or a dog-friendly back yard, we'll work with you to help you find the right spot for your break.
