Victorian Arabic Social Services is an incorporated not-for-profit association providing support to Arabic-speaking communities in Victoria. It is dedicated to addressing the social, cultural and welfare needs of people of Arabic-speaking background, and to contributing to a more vibrant, diverse and inclusive society.The association provides a range of support including counselling, case work, referrals, advocacy, community development, mediation, and social, cultural and linguistic support. It also offers aged care, disability support, youth services, gambling support and home care, among others.It defines Arabic-speaking background communities as inclusive of people who are born in one of the 22 countries of the Arab world; have an ancestral link to the Arab world; or speak Arabic as a second language after their native language and have their own identity.
