With more than 400 doctors, 13SICK National Home Doctor is Australia's largest network of home visiting doctors. Doctors treat patients at home and in aged care facilities with acute, episodic conditions, such as gastro, UTIs, migraines and respiratory infections. The service is available from 6pm on weekdays, 12pm on Saturdays, all day on Sundays and public holidays.All doctors carry a bag stocked with starter packs of common medications, so in many cases, patients can start treatment immediately. Following the home visit, a medical report is sent to the patient's GP the next day, ensuring continuity of care.All home visits for patients with a Medicare or Gold DVA card can be bulk billed. The service should be accessed by a patient who needs to see a doctor urgently, but the situation is not life-threatening, and their GP clinic is closed.
