Fight Cancer Foundation's Hilltop Albury/Wodonga Patient and Carer Accommodation Centre provides patients and their carers with comfortable and affordable accommodation close to the Albury Base Hospital, Albury Wodonga Cancer Centre and other local treatment centres.The philosophy of Hilltop is to provide patients and their carers with a home away from home when they need it most. All suites have air-conditioning, a television, microwave, refrigerator, iron, kettle, crockery and a range of utensils. Bathrooms feature vanity, storage, shower and toilet. Some rooms also feature balconies and all enjoy sweeping views across the Murray Valley.Each floor features a friendly communal area called 'The Hub', which boasts a comfortable lounge area with television and stereo, a fully equipped kitchen and a dining area where guests can enjoy a quiet meal or mix and mingle with other guests. It also features a large undercover balcony with outdoor lounge and dining furniture, and BBQ facilities.Information on eligibility for travel and accommodation assistance can be provided by a patient's general practitioner, specialist, hospital social work and the Hilltop manager.
