Developed by Cancer Council Australia, the Guides to Best Cancer Care assist people affected by cancer to make sense of what should happen during diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care. The online guides offer information about cancer, connections to support and care, and questions to ask health professionals to make sure patients receive the best care at every step. Guides are available for a range of cancer types including basal and squamous cell carcinoma, bowel cancer, breast cancer, cancer of unknown primary, endometrial cancer, Hodgkin and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, liver cancer, lung cancer, ovarian cancer, peritoneal mesothelioma and prostate cancer, among many others. There is also tailored information specifically developed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to understand and manage cancer.
