Challenge - supporting kids with cancer
Challenge provides daily support to children and families living with cancer or a life-threatening blood disorder from the time of diagnosis, through treatment and beyond. It is a unique organisation that has a very personal connection to the families it supports. The wellbeing of the entire family is the fundamental concern of Challenge. Through its programs and services, it aims to make life easier. Challenge delivers support 365 days of the year. It operates the Challenge Family Centre, where families can access an extensive range of non-medical support services including playgroup, music and art therapy, massage therapy, and information. In hospital, it provides electronic equipment, internet access, family activities and celebrity visits. Within the community, it offers camps, ticketing, holiday accommodation, parent retreats, home help and educational scholarship opportunities.
