Cancer Council Victoria has received recognition at the 2022 Victorian Health Promotion Awards for its innovative and effective work on Food Fight, a campaign calling for government action to remove unhealthy food and drink advertising from public transport, public transport infrastructure and near schools.
Research from more than 300 Victorians affected by cancer has found that a substantial proportion of people with cancer (26%) and carers (20%) said they did not get enough formal emotional and mental health support during COVID-19.
Cancer Council Victoria welcomes the Victorian Government’s response to support the health and well-being of approximately 2,000 patients impacted by incomplete colonoscopies in the Albury-Wodonga region.
More Victorians than ever before are calling 13 11 20 – Cancer Council Victoria’s vital information and support phone line for people affected by cancer and their families.
