Naturopaths & Herbalists Association of Australia (NHAA)
The Naturopaths & Herbalists Association of Australia (NHAA) is dedicated to promoting and protecting the practice of naturopathy and western herbal medicine. Established in 1920, the NHAA is the oldest complementary medicine association in Australia. It is a not-for-profit professional membership organisation for herbalists and naturopaths, providing learning and development opportunities for its members, supporting professional and practice development, and ensuring high standards of qualifications and safety. The association is a vocal advocate, liaising with and advising governments and decision-makers about issues of importance to its members. It aims to progress the role of natural therapies in the healthcare system and plays an active role in research to further knowledge in the field. Members of the association have access to a wealth of traditional knowledge and experience and the latest research on safe, effective, evidence-based treatments. The association also offers a searchable database of accredited naturopath or herbalist practitioners across the country.
