On behalf of the expert clinical working groups, we would like to invite you to provide feedback on these optimal care pathways (OCP) and quick reference guides:
- breast cancer
- head and neck cancer
- endometrial cancer
- ovarian cancer
- hodgkin lymphoma and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
Each OCP is intended to guide the delivery of consistent, safe, high-quality and evidence-based care for people affected by cancer.
The original OCPs for the above-mentioned cancers were developed in 2015–2016. Since their development, advances in cancer care continue to emerge. It is therefore timely to review and update the OCPs, ensuring they are relevant to current practice. The clinical expert working group for each OCP has updated the cancer specific information based on recent guidelines, known evidence and experience and expertise of the clinical expert working group.
We value your input to help us to improve the OCPs and quick reference guides. If you would like to review and provide feedback on an OCP for one of or several of the cancer types listed above please email Julia Brancato (Julia.Brancato@cancervic.org.au) and Julia will send you the draft. The opportunity to provide feedback will close on Monday, 27 July.
What’s next?
The Chair of the clinical expert working group for each OCP will address all feedback received, and if necessary, will enlist the expertise of the clinical expert working group. Once the OCPs and quick reference guides are finalised, the resources will be reviewed and nationally endorsed by the National Cancer Expert Reference Group. Once endorsed, we will share the final version with you.
