The Office of the Public Advocate seeks to safeguard the rights of people with disability. This includes providing information about what will happen if a time comes when you are not able to make a medical, financial or personal decision, and ways you can plan ahead, including appointing someone to support you in making decisions. You can also make an advance care directive outlining your values and preferences, including specifying if there is medical treatment you do or do not wish to receive.
