Switchboard Victoria is a community-based not-for-profit organisation that provides a peer driven support service for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and gender diverse, intersex, queer, asexual (LGBTIQA+) communities and their allies, friends, support workers and families. The organisation connects the LGBTIQA+ community through a range of different programs offering peer-to-peer support in areas including gender and sexuality, diverse relationships, suicide prevention, family violence support, anti-racism advocacy, and social inclusion for the older LGBTI community. This includes Rainbow Door, a free specialist LGBTIQA+ helpline, and Out & About, a social home visiting service for LGBTIQA+ Victorians at risk of social isolation, among others. Switchboard embraces and supports people in and across LGBTIQA+ communities who have various beliefs, practices, and feelings when it comes to issues of faith and religion. It runs a QTIBPoC project aiming to build greater equity for Queer, Trans, Intersex Bla(c)k Peoples and/or People of Colour and People of Faith.
