13th Behavioural Research in Cancer Control Conference

13th Behavioural Research in Cancer Control Conference

About BRCC2017

The Conference theme is Inform Inspire Impact, reflecting our shared need to learn about latest evidence, as well as considering promising new ideas and developments, in order to optimise our impact in preventing cancer and improving cancer outcomes.

We have a rich conference program with streams covering: policy and advocacy, cancer screening, early detection, communication, evaluation, Indigenous issues, lifestyle behaviours and interventions, psychosocial outcomes, prevention, and supportive and practical care.

Supported by Cancer Council Australia through its Public Health Committee, this three and a half day conference attracts behavioural researchers and program staff from Cancer Councils, universities and research institutes from around the nation and internationally. It provides a concentrated and timely opportunity for a meeting of minds on the latest developments in cancer control research and how we can optimise our impact in preventing cancer and improving cancer outcomes.

We are pleased to have four internationally recognised keynote speakers in Professor Robert Hornik from the University of Pennsylvania, Professor Theresa Marteau from Cambridge University, Professor Penny Webb from QIMR Berghofer and Professor Sanchia Aranda CEO of Cancer Council Australia and President-Elect of the Union for International Cancer Control. Each of these speakers will bring their own unique perspective to our conference theme ‘Inform Inspire Impact'.

The conference provides an excellent forum to network with colleagues and to share your ideas and expertise. We look forward to welcoming you to Melbourne.
