Identification of novel genes predisposing to familial colorectal cancer by full exome sequencing

Project Description

The underlying cause of the majority of families with a high risk of colorectal cancer remains unexplained.

We will use new technology to work out what genes cause cancer in these families so we can provide better genetic counselling. Our work may also offer new ways to detect and treat colorectal cancer.
