About your environment

Cancer Council Victoria has been leading efforts against cancer since 1936 through world leading research, prevention, support and advocacy programs. The Prevention Division aims to reduce the risk of cancer in the Victorian population through social marketing, advocacy, professional training and providing policy advice based on the best available evidence. This includes a broad range of cancer prevention and screening programs including PapScreen Victoria. Cancer Council is contracted by the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services to develop and implement the Communications and Recruitment Program for PapScreen Victoria as part of the National/State program to prevent cancer of the cervix.

About your opportunity

We are seeking a Health Professionals Coordinator to join the PapScreen team. Reporting to the Program Manager, PapScreen Victoria, your role is to:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate a variety of training packages tailored for health professionals about cancer screening
  • Engage and collaborate with relevant health professional networks and build strategic alliances to advocate cancer screening initiatives and encourage knowledge sharing
  • Lead the development of a national online toolkit through collaboration with various high level stakeholders

All about you

We are looking for someone with:
  • Tertiary qualifications in health promotion, primary health care, education, training or a related field
  • Experience in the development and coordination of training programs with a significant understanding of adult learning principals. Exposure to online learning would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information confidently and build effective relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • High level organisational and time management skills are essential 

What we can offer you

This full-time fixed term position to 30 June 2017 provides a salary within range $64,747 - $72,797 pa plus superannuation, annual leave loading and the benefits of not-for-profit salary packaging and a meal entertainment card.
