Wellness and Life After Cancer - Stawell and Warracknabeal

Date(s): 22 Jun 2017
Time: 10:00 am - 12 pm
Location: Stawell Regional Health, Stawell, and Rural North West Health, Warracknabeal

Program runs for eight weeks on Thursdays, starting 22 June 2017

The time after active cancer treatment can be a challenge for people affected by cancer and their carers.

This education and supportive care program can help empower you to improve your health and wellbeing as you move from treatment to recovery and wellness. It includes personal exercise assessment and group sessions.

Exercise rehabilitation programs have been shown to help manage pain, reduce fatigue, improve physical function and quality of life.

This program can assist you to:

  • Increase your fitness and strength
  • Improve your ability to perform daily tasks
  • Learn how to cope with life now
  • Identify local support services available

The program is delivered by health professionals at your local centre (Stawell or Warracknabeal). Telehealth (videoconferencing) links the groups and allows participants to attend close to home.

BOOKINGS are essential as places are limited.  To book please contact Jade in Stawell on 03 5358 8630 or jade.cleary@srh.org.au or Kathleen in Warracknabeal on 03 5396 1315 or kathleen.poulton@rnh.net.au
