Early Detection Manager, Charissa Feng was awarded the 2023 Nigel Grey Scholarship. The scholarship is in recognition of former staff member Dr Nigel Gray AO, a pioneer of tobacco control both in Australia and internationally.

Charissa will use the funds from the scholarship towards a study tour to interview world leading experts to understand how they are managing or preventing liver cancer, with a particular focus on hepatitis, a leading risk factor for the disease. This project supports Cancer Council Victoria’s priority to reduce the burden of liver cancer.
