Events included an ‘On the Couch’ session with former Sydney Swans player and co-founder of the GO Foundation, Michael O-Loughlin, a screening of The Australian Dream, a documentary featuring Adam Goodes which explores race, identity, and belonging in Australia today. There was also a Treaty Talk with James Thomson from the First People’s Assembly of Victoria, Self Determination Sessions with Colin Darcy, and a Smoking Ceremony with Perry Wandin welcoming our staff to our new building on the land of the Wurrundjeri, Woi Wurrung People.

“The work being done through education is necessary to equip our people with knowledge about Aboriginal people, culture, and history, and make them aware of the gaps that need to be filled. Passing on knowledge to staff around the correct ways of working in partnership with Aboriginal communities and organisations, by using correct cultural protocols, is key to moving things forward,” said Aboriginal Partnerships Co-ordinator, Colin Darcy.
