Cancer Information & Support Service Annual Reports

Cover of CISS Annual Report 2007With 66 Victorians diagnosed with cancer every day, few of us are not affected. The Cancer Council's Cancer Information and Support Service (CISS) is here to support people at every stage throughout the cancer experience.

In 2007, we supported more than 60,000 people affected by cancer. More than 456,000 sources of information were distributed to our contacts and $312,500 was provided to more than 1,100 cancer patients in need of financial help.

Of the callers to our Helpline, 910 people were linked to a Cancer Connect volunteer who had been through a similar experience and around 2,250 callers were referred to local Cancer Support Groups.

More details of our programs and services can be found in the Annual Reports below.
