Common questions

Cancer statistics – where are the latest?

Victorian statistics are collected through our Victorian Cancer Registry and published in Canstat digests. The registry also compiles special reports on cancer incidence and mortality.

Latest Cancer in Victoria Statistics and Trends, plus Social Context reports

State cancer incidence and mortality statistics are released every year. There's generally a 2-year period between collection and publication because of the volume and verifications needed.

Media students and campaign information

We get a lot of requests from students about our campaigns. Before contacting us, use this site to do your research. A good place to start is with a media release search.

Students can quote this website and attribute information to the appropriate program manager. To determine who the current program manager is, email enquiries@cancervic.org.au with the campaign in the subject field, to the attention of the PR or Marketing office.

If you quote a Cancer Council spokesperson or use information from our website, please send us a final version of your assignment for our files.

If students want to organise an interview (in person or by phone) requests must be received 2 weeks in advance. An interview is not guaranteed and depends on staff availability.

To enquire about work experience, send a cover letter and CV to HR@cancervic.org.au
