Golf charity days

Register your local golf club to hold a Drive Against Cancer charity day and help us fight cancer!

Every dollar raised on the day will help Cancer Council fund important cancer research, prevention programs and support services for all Victorians facing cancer.

It's easy to get your club involved. Simply register and follow these simple steps:

  1. Decide on your competition categories - ladies, men's or mixed.
  2. Choose a date to hold your event - maybe combine it with a competition already in your club calendar.

To help raise funds, why not advertise the event in your local newspaper and charge an entry fee, hold a raffle or organise games?

All clubs will receive a small prize to give to the winner of their charity day. They'll also go in the draw to win a painting of their golf course by renowned artist Robert A. Wade.

Kingswood Golf ClubKingswood Golf Club - 27 years of support

For 27 years, members of the Kingswood Golf Club have joined together in the fight against cancer, raising close to $30,000.

Ladies Secretary Lorraine Nash said cancer strikes every family, which is why the club feels it's important to support the work of Cancer Council Victoria. In 2010, the club donated $500 with funds raised through raffles, Challenge the Pro competition, a spinning wheel, golf and lunch days, putting fines and library borrowing (where current books are donated and 50 cents charged to loan them).
