This FREE program is run by trained health professionals to give people with cancer, and their friends and family, the chance to learn more about cancer, its treatment and their emotional reactions to it.
The program is for small groups and usually runs for 2 hours a week for 4 to 8 weeks. A half-day program is also available.
It's attended by people who have a diagnosis of cancer and their family and friends. Each group has a specially trained LWCEP facilitator who's resourced and supported by Cancer Council Victoria.
Programs are held in most Melbourne hospitals (both public and private) some community health centres and in many country hospitals and health services.
To register or for more details, call our Cancer Council Helpline on 13 11 20, email cis@cancervic.org.au or visit our events calendar for the next scheduled event.
