Internet support groups

The Cancer Council runs Internet support groups for people with cancer. Internet support groups are especially good for people who, because of their illness or difficulty travelling, meet online.

Small groups of up to 8 people meet through this website at set times. If you join one of these groups, you'll receive a password so you can log in to a secure area. After logging in, you'll see a screen where you and other people who are logged in add their messages and questions. It happens in 'real time' - so it's like a discussion.

If you'd like to be part of an online support group, or find out more, call the Cancer Council Helpline on 13 11 20 or email csg@cancervic.org.au

Note: these groups are moderated and anyone who tries to promote or sell an untested or alternative treatment will be excluded.
