The Cancer Council Victoria’s role with the Living with Cancer Education Program is to train, resource, support, evaluate and coordinate the Program, as it is delivered through a diverse network of health professionals. We carefully select and train appropriate health professionals, including oncology nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, pastoral care workers, radiotherapists and doctors to run this program.
The course a nationally-accredited two-day program which covers group facilitation skills, adult learning techniques, marketing skills, and also orients participants to the facilitators manual and videos. The course also provides an opportunity to network with other professionals who will be program providers as well as Cancer Council staff.
