Donate to Cancer Council Victoria

Please give today to help fund lifesaving cancer research.

Your donation can help families like Isla’s enjoy many more magical Christmases together.

Isla’s leukaemia diagnosis was the beginning of the most difficult time her family had ever known.

She faced gruelling rounds of chemotherapy, steroids and antibiotics that provided the only hope of keeping her alive.

Across Victoria, hundreds of families are facing this torment. They need new and more effective treatments for cancers like leukaemia – and they need them now.

No one should be asking “Is this my child’s last Christmas?”.

Please give today to help save the lives of more children, like Isla, and keep more families together for Christmas.

Frequently asked questions about donations

How do I make a donation?

There are many ways you can make a donation. We take donations online, over the phone, and in cash. Now that you're here, the easiest way is to use the form at the top of this page.

Where does my money go?

Your donation will go to supporting Cancer Council Victoria's mission towards a cancer-free future.

  • Cancer research and clinical trials

  • Prevention of cancer through lifestyle education

  • Education about cancer and cancer treatment

  • Support for people diagnosed with cancer and their loved ones

Our mission is to eradicate all cancer. We cannot guarantee that your donation will go directly to ovarian cancer research, for example. Your donation also does not go to Cancer Council Australia, which is a separate organisation. Instead, it will go to local initiatives and support services in Victoria.

Will I receive a tax receipt?

Yes, you'll receive a tax receipt on any donation over $2. This will allow you to claim your donation come tax time. Most donations to charity offer the same benefit.

You can use the tax receipt for your donation to claim a deduction at tax time through the Australian Tax Office's online portal. If you have a personal income tax agent, they can submit the deduction on your behalf.

Click here for more information about making a tax-deductible donation.

How do I support through regular giving?

If you're looking to do more than donate on a special occasion, you can! Becoming a regular giver is the single most impactful way you can help people diagnosed with cancer. Regular Giving contributes hundreds of thousands of dollars per year.

You can become a regular giver here. You can also get involved in other ways, like fundraising, volunteering, or leaving a gift in memory.

Thank you for your generous gift to fund vital cancer research that can help save lives and keep families together.

Your generosity will help make sure that more Victorian families, like Isla’s, will be able to spend magical Christmases together.

Isla’s dad, Gareth, says that this Christmas, they’re looking forward to a Christmas with “no medicine, no concerns.” Your support will help more families enjoy this kind of carefree, precious time in the years ahead.

With your inspiring support, a cancer-free future is within our grasp. Thank you for helping us get closer than ever to achieving that dream.
