Young Ostomates United meets 2-3 times a year as members' needs determine at a venue in St Kilda Road in Melbourne. The group remains in communication with each other through other channels in between meetings to provide support to each other. The group welcomes younger people, including children, with a stoma relating to bowel, colorectal and bladder cancer, among other conditions that may necessitate a stoma. The group is led by a health professional and provides education and peer discussion opportunities for members. Membership fees of $15 ($10 concession) apply; a gold coin donation is requested at social events. Call 13 11 20 for more information and to be put in contact with the group leaders.
Please note: Meeting location and contact details are not displayed publicly to protect the privacy and safety of all group participants. Call 13 11 20 for more information about a group.
If you can't find what you need, try entering a keyword to search the whole record: for example women or stoma or Werribee.
If there are no groups for the specific cancer type you are looking for, consider whether a group without a specific cancer focus would suit you or call 13 11 20 to find individual supports.
