The Asbestos Council of Victoria/GARDS Support Group - METRO meets monthly on the 2nd Monday of the month at 1:30 at a community venue in Chadstone. The group receives support from the Asbestos Council of Victoria and the Gippsland Asbestos-related Disease Service staff. It welcomes people affected by mesothelioma, silica. mouth, lung and throat cancers as well as their families. Activities include peer discussion, social activities and information. Meetings are free to attend; to join the organisation there is a joining fee of $5 then a yearly charge. The group can organise interpreters for members wishing to attend if notified in advance. Call 13 11 20 for more information, including the exact address, and to be put in contact with the group leader.
Please note: Meeting location and contact details are not displayed publicly to protect the privacy and safety of all group participants. Call 13 11 20 for more information about a group.
If you can't find what you need, try entering a keyword to search the whole record: for example women or stoma or Werribee.
If there are no groups for the specific cancer type you are looking for, consider whether a group without a specific cancer focus would suit you or call 13 11 20 to find individual supports.
