This study relates dates of tobacco policy implementation and Target Audience Ratings Points for state and national tobacco control mass media campaigns and those promoting pharmaceutical cessation products to monthly surveys of Australian smoking prevalence.

Policies include tobacco tax increases, smokie-free policies, availability of smoking cessation pharmaceutical cessation products, restrictions on tobacco advertising and promotion, and graphic health warnings on tobacco.
