The purpose is to achieve tumour-specific delivery of a chemotherapy ‘drug activator’ in order to restrict cell kill by chemotherapy drugs to cancer tissues. Focus will be placed on obtaining a 'cancer specific nanoparticle’ to deliver these ‘drug activators’ to ensure that existing clinical drugs such as doxorubicin become more tumour selective.
