Cancer Council Victoria has been leading efforts against cancer since 1936 through world leading research, prevention, support and advocacy programs.
The Board provides leadership in strategy and governance and observes corporate governance principles and a code of conduct in keeping with the Corporations Act and the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission governance standards.

About your opportunity

We are seeking expressions of interest for a Board Director to enhance the Cancer Council mission to prevent cancer, empower patients and save lives.
Board Directors will bring advanced commercial decision-making and business acumen, sound knowledge of corporate governance, and a commitment to the successful future of Cancer Council. Highly developed communication skills and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships are essential.

About you

We are seeking an applicant with a strong background in Primary Health Care or Public Health. With relevant tertiary qualifications, you will be a leader in your field. You will have had no relationship with a tobacco-related company. Knowledge of the health care sector and a commitment to cancer issues would be an advantage.
