Daffodil Day will take place on Friday 24 August across Australia. Every year, our community comes together to raise funds for life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and support services. Thanks to improvements and breakthroughs in cancer prevention, screening and treatment, 61,000 Australian lives have been saved.

Support groups connect people affected by cancer and help them manage the challenges they may face. With 124 groups meeting locally across Victoria, people gather on a regular basis to share life experiences and information. Clinical trials are a gold standard treatment option, yet many people find the decision of whether to participate in a clinical trial a challenging one. Of those newly diagnosed with cancer in Victoria, only 6% are recruited into clinical trials. To increase patient access to and information about clinical trials, Cancer Council Victoria has recently improved the Victorian Cancer Trials Link website.
