In memory of Rachael Neale

Rachael Neale

What would Rachael do?

With the passing of his courageous and loving wife, Rachael on 19 August 2018 to bowel cancer, Aaron’s been asking himself, ‘what would Rachael do?’. Knowing her passion and dedication to saving lives and to see her loss turned to something good, he’s asked that we set up a donation page in her honor.

“It was Rachael’s wish that we continue to fight this insidious disease so that other families don’t go through what we are right now,” Aaron said.

“She’s already raised a remarkable $40,000 for Cancer Council. She was so proud of that. Let’s get that figure up I say.”

Brave and stoic to the end, it’s only fitting that Rachael should have the last word.

“Even though I have cancer, first and foremost I'm still Rachael. I'm a wife to Aaron, a mum to Riordan and Adele who are 14 and 13. I'm an English teacher, which I adore. I also love theatre, ballet, travel, reading and good food and wine. I'm very social and love a party especially with my family and friends.

Through this diagnosis, I have discovered that I have the most wonderful support team around me.  My family, friends, work colleagues and people from the most unexpected quarters have been so incredible in showering me with love, help and care.  Aaron and I have been genuinely humbled by the kindness and generosity of others.

Thank you for being part of my journey.” -  Rachael
