As many of you know Jennifer was a big supporter of the Cancer Council, volunteering with them between 2012 and 2019. She started in my early days at the Leukaemia Foundation and was a valuable contributor to face to face lymphoma support groups, providing important peer support for many people across different platforms. Later with Cancer Connect she provided phone support to 25 people affected by cancer. Talking with them about her own experience, reducing the loneliness of diagnosis and providing the opportunity for them to talk with someone who really understood what they were going through.
She also undertook media and community speakers training and spoke at fundraising events to promote the Cancer Council's work and services within the community.
