The Clinical Network advises the Cancer Council Victoria on all clinical aspects of cancer. We achieve this through education, policy work and research. For example, we establish steering groups to write submissions to relevant government bodies and stakeholders, hold workshops, roundtable discussions and think tanks, webinars and educational events and undertake research and clinical trial projects.

Research on cancer care coordinators

Improved access to cancer care coordinators has been a priority for the Clinical Network for a number of years. In 2016 the Clinical Network funded Deakin University to undertake mapping of cancer care coordinators (CCCs) and those who performed care coordination roles across Victoria. Read more

Victorian Cancer Trials Link (VCTL)

The Victorian Cancer Trials Link (VCTL) is searchable database of all cancer clinical trials being conducted in Victoria. Read more

Cancer Trials Management Scheme (CTMS)

The Clinical Network administers the Cancer Trials Management Scheme. This retrospectively awards funding to hospitals coordinating clinical trials based on recruitment. The purpose is to grow clinical trial capacity by financially supporting clinical trials Data Managers.
