Welcome to our first blog post!
We're very excited to be launching a VCOG blog and hope for it to be a platform for sharing news, events, research and much more in cancer management.
The Victorian Cooperative Oncology Group (VCOG) is a clinical cancer network, supported by Cancer Council Victoria and funded by donations. Our membership is made up of oncologists, allied health professionals and community representatives who volunteer their time and expertise to meet and advocate for improved clinical care and patient outcomes for Victorians affected by cancer.
It's difficult to compile and communicate relevant, up-to-date information via VCOG newsletters. This will replace these and has the advantage of creating two-way communication with our members around areas of importance in cancer care in Victoria. It also allows busy people to pick and choose what pieces of information they wish to read and comment on.
The VCOG blog will;
- link to interesting articles, websites, announcements
- inform you of VCOG project updates and VCOG events
- include guest posts from members, and
- provide a forum to seek your opinion on important matters.
We're interested in hearing from you. Would you like to contribute or know of news that might be of interest to other VCOG members? Let us know. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 9635 5246.
