About Cancer Council Victoria
The stark reality is that 1 in 2 of us will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85. We’ll either face cancer ourselves or support someone close to us with cancer. So, all of us are affected.
That’s why, as the state’s leading cancer charity, Cancer Council Victoria works across every aspect of every cancer. We support families affected by cancer when they need it most, speak out on behalf of the community on cancer issues, empower people to reduce their risk, and conduct and fund research to better detect and treat cancer.
Because 1 in 2 is too many, we’re working hard to change it.
With the support of the community, we’re getting closer to a cancer-free future, and we’ll keep going until we achieve it for everyone.
About gifts in Wills
Gifts in Wills are vital for securing the future of cancer research. Around 50% of the research we fund is made possible by gifts in Wills.
It costs supporters nothing in their lifetime to leave a gift in their Will, but even just 1% of their estate can have a significant impact on future breakthroughs.
Through the advances being made today, it is possible to imagine a better future free from the burden of cancer. And this is far more likely to happen through the support of gifts in Wills.
