Sexual Counselling Clinic
The Women's (The Royal Women's Hospital)
The Women's Sexual Counselling Clinic sees people with any problems related to sex. It specialises in vaginismus, loss of libido, unexplained dyspareunia and any other issues where sexuality is a prominent feature. These problems may arise after natural events such as childbirth or menopause, after major illness such as cancer, or spontaneously in a woman's lifetime. The clinic particularly specialises in helping the patient explore the emotional issues relevant to her problem. It works as a complementary service to the other specialist services at The Women's. There are no clinical exclusions for this service. Any woman with a sexual problem are able to access the service, regardless of age, ethnicity, religion, disability or relationship status. Partners can also be seen if the woman wishes. The clinic also houses a Sexuality and Cancer Clinic, which runs weekly.
