Nurse-On-Call
Department of Human Services / McKesson
The Nurse-On-Call helpline provides caring, professional health advice from a registered nurse. It operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The service provides support when you or someone you are caring for is feeling unwell; you are not sure if you should seek medical help; you are far from home or a long way from medical help; or you want advice or information about health services in your area. The service is accessible from any landline or mobile phone in Victoria. Costs for a local call apply to landlines, although calls from mobile phones may be charged at a higher rate. Interpreter and the National Relay Service are also available. Nurses do not diagnose and cannot provide a diagnosis, and the service is for non-emergency health advice only.
