Gunditjmara Aboriginal Cooperative Ltd is an Aboriginal community controlled organisation that provides holistic and culturally appropriate health and community-based services in Warrnambool and surrounding areas. The independent community based not-for-profit organisation is the primary provider of social, health and cultural services in the region. Services offered include a medical clinic, home and community care, NDIS support, family violence support, Koori youth justice program, kinship care and integrated family services, among many others.The Gunditjmara people are the traditional owners of the coastal area extending from Portland, Port Fairy, Warrnambool and inland into Camperdown. Gunditjmara people are traditionally river and lake people with Budj Bim, Framlingham Forrest, Lake Condah and the surrounding river systems being of great cultural significance and importance historically, economically and spiritually.
