Genetic Support Network of Victoria

Based at the Royal Children's Hospital, the Genetic Support Network of Victoria assists people with genetic conditions and those who support them including support groups, health professionals, non-health professionals, families, and the broader community. It was established in 1997 in recognition of the importance of a broad consumer voice in genetic health and acknowledgement of a gap in existing support for many rare, undiagnosed and genetic conditions. The organisation offers a resource portal, telephone support, referral services and advocacy, among other services and functions.
