Dandenong and District Aborigines Co-operative

The Dandenong and District Aborigines Co-operative provides programs and services to meet the needs of local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. It provides a wide range of health care through its Bunurong Aboriginal Health Service, as well as a variety of community programs to promote wellbeing and social engagement. The co-operative's holistic services have a strong cultural component, striving to provide an accessible, supportive, open and culturally safe environment for Aboriginal people. It is a community controlled organisation that is governed by a community elected Aboriginal board of directors and is accountable to the local Indigenous community.
