Frances Albers
Senior Research Officer
BBioMedSc, MPH
Frances is an early career researcher who completed her PhD at the University of Melbourne and Cancer Council Victoria. Her doctoral research focussed on implementing causal inference methods to address gaps in the epidemiological evidence relating to physical activity, adiposity, and cancer risk.
Her current research examines modifiable risk factors for gastro-oesophageal cancer and primary lymphoma of the digestive system using pooled data from the US NCI Cohort Consortium as well as data from large cohort studies. Her research interests include applying a causal inference approach in observational cancer studies to improve their methodological quality and public health impact.
