Sex hormones unrelated to prostate cancer risk

Sex hormones circulating in the blood do not appear to be associated with prostate cancer risk, according to data from 18 prior studies. The analysis will be published online January 29 in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.

The Cancer Council Australia has welcomed the federal government's new skin cancer awareness campaign. CEO Professor Ian Olver, said almost all cases of skin cancer could be prevented by appropriate sun protection, yet 1600 Australians died from the disease every year.
