Cancer Action Plan welcomed

The Cancer Council Victoria has welcomed today's release of the new Cancer Action Plan. Director, Professor David Hill, said it was extremely pleasing that the Victorian Government had put together and launched the plan - a first for Victoria.

Nurses urged to register for revamped program

A specialised breast care nurse education program has been revamped and places are now open for 2009. The postgraduate unit, ‘Breast Care Nursing: Foundations for Practice’, is offered by La Trobe University and the Cancer Council Victoria.

Sexual and intimate changes after cancer will be the focus of a free workshop to be held in Carlton on Friday December 5. Almost all cancer treatments have the potential to alter sexual function. The workshop will discuss ways to stay sexually confident regardless of partnership status.
