Tuxedo Junction in full swing

Thursday 12 June, 2014

The eighth annual Tuxedo Junction, a charity ball supporting Cancer Council Victoria research projects, will get In Full Swing on Saturday 9 August at the Plaza Ballroom, Regent Theatre, Melbourne.

The night will feature the fabulous Wendy Stapleton – one of Australia’s favourite musical performers from ‘Wendy and The Rockettes’, and musicals including ‘I Only Want To Be With You’ and ‘Bad Boy Johnny’. Wendy, together with master of ceremonies, Russell Fletcher, will ensure In Full Swing is a night  guests won’t forget.

Event Producer, Kate Bonser, said that the event provides an opportunity to honour friends and family in the cancer community.

“Funds raised at Tuxedo Junction are allocated immediately to research supported by Cancer Council Victoria.  These projects are at the forefront of cancer research and are being undertaken by local scientists; dedicated people who are world leaders and working towards significant breakthroughs in the way we detect and treat many forms of cancer.”

Cancer Council Victoria CEO Todd Harper said, “The generosity of guests attending this event contributes to the first class research projects we are able to fund – research that will benefit cancer patients for generations to come.”

Tickets are now on sale for the vintage-themed event, and good seats are still available for one of the best charity gala events of the year.

Last year this event sold out so don’t be left disappointed, come along and discover Tuxedo Junction 2014 In Full Swing.  Bring friends and family, enjoy a great meal and a spectacular show whilst making a difference to the lives of those affected by cancer,” Kate said.

Tuxedo Junction will get In Full Swing at the Plaza Ballroom on Saturday 9 August 2014 from 7pm. To book, visit www.tuxedojunction.net.au or call 1300 65 65 85.
