To celebrate the 16th year of Daffodil Day, a number of Australia's favourite fashion designers are taking part in 'Designers for Daffodil Day'.
Akira Isogawa, Arthur Galan, Bettina Liano, Flamingo Sands, J'Aton, JASONGRECH, Jayson Brunsdon, Jenny Bannister, White Suede, LIFEwithBIRD and Lady Petrova have all created Daffodil Day inspired fashion pieces that reflect what Daffodil Day is all about - hope and inspiration.
Cancer Council Victoria spokesperson Deborah Stringer encourages people to vote online from 12 August for their favourite Daffodil Day inspired piece and even bid for one of the exclusive items to raise essential funds in the cancer fight.
"We are very excited to have these renowned Australian designers on board and we hope it can drive more support for Daffodil Day and bring hope to the 70 Victorians diagnosed with cancer each day," Ms Stinger said.
"While we continue to make significant advances in the prevention, detection and treatment of cancer, and are seeing improved survival rates for cancer patients, we still have a long way to go.
This year, we aim to raise more than $2 million from Daffodil Day so I urge people to give generously to make this target a reality," she said.
Supporters can opt to order a box of merchandise to sell leading up to Daffodil Day, register to volunteer on a stall or buy fresh daffodils and merchandise on Daffodil Day including daffodil taxdeductible pins, branded pens, mini soccer balls and the very cuddly Dr Dougal Bear.
All funds raised support cancer research, prevention programs and support services for cancer patients and their families.
