The popular Think Pink Ball is on this Saturday 24 May and a touch of fantasy is required. The masquerade fundraising ball, which raises money for The Cancer Council Victoria's Cancer Information and Support Service, also promises to treat guests to some great entertainment and culinary delights.
The Annual Think Pink Ball continues to be a spectacular success and at least 50% of profits go straight to the Cancer Council's important work. In 2007, over $70,000 of profit was directed to the Cancer Council's Cancer Information and Support Service.
Over the past 5 years, funds raised have been applied to 'grass roots' applications such as training breast care nurse counsellors to help cancer patients. Proceeds from the Think Pink Ball go towards wigs and prostheses for patients undergoing cancer treatment, grants and loans to help patients in a time of need, and educational material and resources to provide much needed advice for patients.
Cancer Council spokesperson, Jenna Mellerick, said the Think Pink Ball is a great way both to raise money for the Cancer Council, and to have a great night out with friends.
"It's not too late to book your seat at this glamorous and fun event. Why don't you book your seat today?" Ms Mellerick said.
