Reel Lives: The Cancer Chronicles Film Festival is an international documentary competition organised by the International Union Against Cancer (UICC). Held on 28-30 August 2008 during the World Cancer Congress in Geneva, Switzerland. The competition is open to all and will culminate in an awards ceremony to celebrate films that are thought-provoking, educational and inspirational.
The festival is an opportunity for anyone touched by cancer to tell their story and have their voice heard. It aims to change the taboos and myths surrounding cancer, educate and enlighten, bridge cultural divides, and help unite the global cancer community.
Who can take part?
The competition is open to cancer non-profit associations, patient groups and advocacy organisations, cancer centres, research and medical centres, amateur and professional film-makers and film school students.
