Knox resident selected for Arts Awards

Work by City of Knox resident Jesse Van Den Dungen has been selected in the 2007 Cancer Council Victoria Arts Awards, which will open in Melbourne on Saturday 21 July at Gallery 15@15W, then tour regional areas.

Van Den Dungen's short movie titled "My Radiation Treatment" was awarded Outstanding Entry in the Arts Awards Film category.

Revelation' is the 2007 theme for The Cancer Council Victoria Arts Awards, which attracts an inspiring variety of artwork and literature from people of all ages across Australia. 

Judged by high profile experts, selected entries of visual art, prose, poetry, film and Indigenous art express the many emotions of a cancer experience.

The Cancer Council Victoria Arts Awards Exhibition brings together the most outstanding of these works in an exciting and distinctive display. The exhibition will commence with an official awards ceremony, with cash prizes awarded for outstanding entries.

The Arts Awards Exhibition will begin in Melbourne and then tour regional areas including Kyneton, Shepparton and Gippsland. The exhibition is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and entry is free of charge.
